Dataset Links

We have found very informative data set information from other universities and organizations.  Not all of the information will apply to UAH.

UC San Diego provides information on how to find data. It also includes links to data for financial, educational, crime, and various other areas.  This is one of the most comprehensive library research guides we have found on this topic.

Weill Cornell Medical College is another very good source.

If you are looking for any type of scientific data, you might want to try Duke University Libraries.  They have data sets conveniently divided by the branch of science:  astronomy, atmospheric sciences, chemistry, computer sciences, ecology, biology (evolutionary and molecular), geology, oceanography, and physics.

Nuclear engineering datasets can be found at Purdue University.

Georgia Tech has data sets for many different fields in engineering:  environmental, civil, and transportation.

The University of Nebraska Medical Center has numerous links and information on public health datasets.

Google has a site with public data and FAQ.

Babson College provides information on how to find datasets and time series.

The goal of Gapminder.org is to provide all people, independently of their political agenda, free access to already existing statistics about global development to easily improve their understanding about our complex society.  Right now they have over 400 indicators.
