Where to look for biographical information

Biographical information about composers and musicians can be found in encyclopedias and dictionaries

Here are some suggested resources.

You can also search the library catalog (Primo Pathfinder) by subject headings to find more information.  The following are just a few suggested topics.

Pianists -- Biography

Musicians -- Biography

Composers -- Biography

Women -- Pianists

Women -- Composers

African American Composers

 

If you are looking for information about a composer, just put the name in the Subject field in the Advanced Search.  

Make sure that you select Library Catalog too!
