When turning on an ETL laptop you will see two login choices - Administrator and Library Patron. Click on Library Patron.
The next screen will ask you to change the password. On the password change screen, ignore the Password field - all you need to do is enter a password in the New Password field and then again in the Confirm field. Then hit Enter.
Once you are logged in, you will see a screen with a list of Laptop FAQs. Click in the checkbox at the bottom of the screen to confirm you read the FAQs and then close that window by clicking on the X at the top right of the screen.
The password change screen and FAQ list will only appear the first time you turn on the laptop. There is an icon on the desktop labeled Laptop FAQs if you want to see the FAQs again.
If you forget the password you set, it cannot reset remotely. You will need to bring the laptop back to the library.
