The SPIE (The International Society for Optical Engineering) Digital Library is the most extensive resource available on optics and photonics. Researchers have unprecedented access to 200,000 technical papers from SPIE Journals and Proceedings, including full coverage from 1990 to the present. More than 17,000 new technical papers are added annually.

Contains over 550,000 citations with abstracts to articles appearing in 1,000 international periodicals covering business and management as well as related functional areas including trends, corporate strategies and tactics, and competitive and product information.

Provides abstracting and indexing of 350 academic and trade publications from the U.K. and the U.S. Coverage includes information technology and computing, electronics, biotechnology, medical technology, and Engineering.

Academic Search Complete is the world's most valuable and comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 8,500 full-text periodicals, including more than 7,300 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 12,500 journals and a total of more than 13,200 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1887, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format. Searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,400 journals.

IEEE Xplore (IEL) provides full-text online access to publications of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE). More than 500,000 articles from over 12,000 publications are included in the collection known as the IEEE/IEE Electronic Library (IEL), with full text from IEEE and IEE journals and conference proceedings dating from 1988 onward. Full text of IEEE Standards is also included. PDF files of full page images include all illustrative material from the original articles. Most SPIE publications are also available in print at the UAH Library. To locate SPIE publications in the library, you must convert the volume number to a library call number. If you prefer to use the print version, you can use this search form to quickly convert an SPIE volume number to a library call number.

Our coverage is from 2003-2011. This database from Thomson Scientific is the online version of Science Citation Index, Social Science Citation Index, and Arts & Humanities Citation Index. It is an invaluable tool for citation searching (following research through the years) and determining who is citing your work. Provides seamless access to current and retrospective multi disciplinary information from approximately 8,700 of the most prestigious, high impact research, peer-reviewed journals in the world. Current access goes back to 2003.
