Return to Campus: Library Services and Policies

An overview of the services available to UAH students, faculty, and staff during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Research Help Desk

We will be maintaining remote tools for you reach us if you need help with your research, reference, and general help: LibChat, email, and One-on-One Reference Consultations. We can help with online materials, doing class research, finding information, and a number of other things.

LibChat, accessible by the button to the right, through https://libanswers.uah.edu, and in many of our databases such as Primo Pathfinder. It will be monitored Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, except during campus holidays.

Our email, refdesk@uah.edu, will be checked regularly and is the best way to reach us outside of the above hours.

If you prefer more "face to face" interactions and would like to schedule a online video appointment, see One-on-One Research Consultations, below. We would be happy to schedule one.

One-on-One Research Consultations

If you need longer, more detailed help* and would like to communicate directly with a librarian, then One-on-One Research Consultations allow you to set up a specific day and time (generally within the Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm range, though exceptions might be possible). We have a variety of tools including Zoom and Google Hangouts to set up a remote, "face to face" video conference session.

One-on-One sessions are available to UAH students, faculty, and staff and can be scheduled through through our Consultation Request form

* Note: with the unprecedented events causing a closure of the campus and the library, we encourage you to use this for any transaction if you would simply prefer a more "face to face" (at least visually) transaction.
